Greitens releases two new ads

ST. LOUIS – Republican gubernatorial candidate and former Navy SEAL Eric Greitens released two new ads Thursday to play in markets across the state highlighting his role as someone outside the realm of politics.

The two 30-second spots are titled “Change” and “Momentum.” The former features Greitens speaking directly to the camera as some of his accomplishments flash by in text, and the latter shows Greitens’ endorsement from Robert O’Neill, the former Navy SEAL who claims to have been the one to kill Osama bin Laden.

“I want you to remember when you see those ruthless attack ads, they either come from anonymous wimps or from career politicians,” O’Neill says in the ad.

In “Change,” Greitens says he wants to commit to true change and distinguishes himself as someone who is not a politician.

“If you like the way that government works, if you’re happy with the results that government is producing, then you can vote for any one of my opponents, Democrat or Republican, because nothing’s gonna change,” he says. “If you want real change, we’re offering people the opportunity to do something that they haven’t had an opportunity to do in Missouri for a generation.”

Greitens also made waves Thursday after the MEC reported that Greitens had received a $200,000 donation from Nevada-based multibillionaire Sheldon Adelson.
