Only Candidate for Attorney General Endorsed by Leading Gun Rights Organization

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Kurt Schaefer today announced the endorsement and support of the National Rifle Association in his bid for Attorney General of Missouri. Schaefer is the only candidate for Attorney General to be endorsed by the nation’s largest pro-gun rights organization.

“I am proud to have earned the support of the largest pro-2nd Amendment organization in the country and as a constitutional conservative I will always defend our constitutional rights, especially our right to bear arms and protect our families,” Schaefer said. “Now more than ever it is crucial we have an Attorney General who knows how to defend our gun rights in the courtroom, just as I’ve done throughout my career.”

During his career as an elected official and trusted prosecutor, Schaefer earned the reputation as Missouri’s top protector of 2nd Amendment rights by fighting and winning court battles against billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group, and other anti-2nd Amendment groups. Schaefer also led the fight for law-abiding gun owners against the Nixon Administration when the Governor tried to send personal information about concealed carry permit holders in Missouri to the Federal Government.
