Democrats parody Greitens’ past as a motivational speaker

While Eric Greitens’ spent the week on Twitter giving Chris Koster some furniture advice, Democrats have had some fun of their own at the Republican’s expense.

They launched a Tumblr parodying Greitens’ past as a motivational speaker while criticizing him for his campaign’s tendency to avoid interviews.

The most recent post on “Mr. Motivational Speaker” is a gif of Greitens doing sit ups from one of his ads. The caption reads, “It’s almost Friday – you can do it!”

Another post criticizes Greitens as hypocritical on ethics reform, telling followers his two step plan to not, “Let questions of human decency and ethics get in the way of your cash checking!”

The two step plan: “1. Tell local reporters that you care about transparency” and “2. Then don’t.” It cites Greitens $1.95 million contribution from an anonymous group called “Seals for Truth.”

The microsite also satirizes Greitens registration of web domains where he’s running for president, U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.

It’s first post was about “14 ways to karate chop your way through pesky reporter questions.” That post recounts several of the times Greitens’ campaign has offered no comment, skipped an interview and even his refusal to complete the Missouri Right to Life questionnaire.

The site was paid for by the Missouri Democratic Party.

But both this site and “Couches for Koster” leave an important question unanswered. What are the issues in this campaign again? You probably have to log off of social media to find out.
