Gov. Scott Walker to campaign for Greitens

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Eric Greitens will welcome the conservative governor from the Badger State to the Show-Me State just a week before the election.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will join Greitens on the campaign trail Oct. 30 for rallies in St. Louis, Springfield and Kansas City. Walker has national acclaim in conservative circles for signing a Right-to-Work law in 2015, as well as signing a photo voter ID law in 2011, the same year he defunded Planned Parenthood.

“Gov. Walker is a great conservative leader and we are proud to welcome him to Missouri,” said Greitens campaign spokesman Austin Chambers in a statement. “Governor Walker recognizes what thousands of families around the state know: Missouri is in need of new conservative leadership and Eric Greitens is ready to take the state in a new direction.”

Walker ran for president this cycle before dropping out early due to both financial worries and to clear the field in hopes of preventing a victory by then-frontrunner and current Republican nominee, Donald Trump.
