Annual Boys State kicks off in Warrensburg once again

The American Legion Boys State of Missouri is underway once again, with some of the best and brightest high school juniors gathering in Warrensburg for the annual summer event.

The eight-day event, running from June 17-24 on the Central Missouri University campus, offers hands-on experience in the operation and fundamentals of government, in an effort to “lead them down the path of individual success and leadership through “doing,” not just learning”.

The goal of each year’s event is to show each individual that they have the ability to change the world, no matter what their role in life.

This week’s guest speakers include State Auditor Nicole Galloway, Attorney General Josh Hawley, and Governor Eric Greitens.
