Paul Fitzwater resigning, appointed to Board of Probation and Parole

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Rep. Paul Fitzwater has been appointed to the Board of Probation and Parole by the Governor and resigned his seat in the House. Fitzwater joins three Democrats and two other Republicans on the board with one vacancy left.

The Potosi native was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2010. During his time in the House, he served on the House Conservation and National Resources Committee, the Joint Committee on the Justice System, and as Chairman of the Corrections Committee, which is in charge of both juvenile and adult correctional issues.

“We are excited to have Paul join the Board of Probation and Parole, and for the experience he brings as Chairman of the Corrections and Public Institution Committee,” Greitens said. “While he will be missed in the legislature, I know he will serve our state with great integrity.”
