Newman endorses Adams in state senate bid

JEFFERSON CITY,  Mo. – Rep. Joe Adams is getting a little help in his bid for the state senate, and it’s coming from one of his fellow Democratic representatives.

Rep. Stacey Newman is endorsing Adams as the right candidate for the District 14 seat, explaining why in a video (watch it here: IMG_2831.)

“I’m proud to serve with Rep. Joe Adams in the legislature. We both share in the community of University City, he has north of Delmar, and I have south,” she said. “I’m very proud also to support Joe in his bid to be the next state senator from his district. Our community needs people like Joe, who have strong progressive values. I worked closely with him on protecting voter rights, reducing gun violence, and also protecting reproductive health access.

“Joe is the kind of voice that this district needs in the state senate, and I hope you’ll support him.”

Adams is one of two Democrats vying for the seat, as former Rep. Sharon Pace is also running to replace the embattled – and term-limited – Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal.
