Eigel talks tax cuts on This Week in Missouri Politics

Sen. Bill Eigel talks his favorite topic Sunday on This Week in Missouri Politics: tax cuts.

“I think the Senate is going to make good on the Governor’s promise of a bold tax plan,” Eigel told Scott Faughn.

And he wasn’t referring to the tax cut plan that Gov. Eric Greitens was touting around Missouri this last week.

“Well, first of all, we have worked very hard this week, and I think we are in a good place now, where this coming week we are gonna see a Senate compromise tax reform bill move forward,” Eigel said.

Eigel’s bill — which he worked on with Sens. Andrew Koenig, Wayne Wallingford and Bob Onder— aims for revenue-neutral while still cutting taxes. He goes into detail on the show.

While the Opinion Maker Panel did touch on tax cuts, it wasn’t long before Josh Hawley’s comments on sex trafficking and the “sexual revolution” became the topic of conversation.

“The left is not to blame for sex trafficking, the right is not to blame for sex trafficking,” Sam Gladney, candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives, said. “Sex traffickers are to blame for sex trafficking. And the chief law enforcement officer of the state of Missouri should understand that without any reservations or caveats. It seemed this week that he has a problem understanding that.”

The panel also dives into Greitens interim appointments and other hot topics.
