This Week in the Governor’s Office: Week of Oct. 8, 2018

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Governor Mike Parson has a relatively busy week between meeting with federal officials and continuing on with his tour of the state.

The Governor headed to Southeast Missouri on Monday where he toured Mississippi Lime Company’s St. Genevieve facility and US Tool Group’s Farmington facility.

Flags were flown at half-staff on Tuesday in honor of Firefighter Russell H. Hayes who died in the line of duty.

Parson sat down with the Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Purdue on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Parson presented a Missouri flag flown over the USS Missouri Battleship & Submarine in Pearl Harbor to Dr. Davis and the students at the College of the Ozarks.

He also spoke to several groups.

Parson rounded out the week talking with Leonard Wood Institute and Sustainable Ozark Partnership. He also launched an advertisement in to kick off ‘Buy Missouri Week’ which starts on Saturday.

The Governor is preparing to tour the state next week in support of Prop D.
