Parson withdraws Conservation Commission appointee

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — One of Gov. Mike Parson’s appointments to the Missouri Conservation Commission was withdrawn for the second time.

On Thursday, Parson withdrew Nicole Wood’s name from nomination as time was running out for the Missouri Senate to confirm the interim appointment. She is a cattle rancher and land manager.

This is the second time Wood’s appointment has been withdrawn.

Wood has served on the commission since July, but her appointment was withdrawn when the General Assembly convened for a special session in September. She was re-appointed less than a week later.
