Ashcroft to earn support from Huckabee

WILLARD, Mo. – Jay Ashcroft, one of two Republican candidates for Missouri Secretary of State, has earned an endorsement for his campaign.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will speak on behalf of Ashcroft at the First Annual Faith and Freedom Festival to be held on the Ashcroft family farm in Willard, Mo. in June.

“For decades, I have been committed to electing consistent conservative candidates to all level of government,” Huckabee said in a statement. “A family man of unquestioned integrity, Jay Ashcroft is 100 percent pro-life and Missouri conservatives can count on him to stand strong for the values we share. I am proud to support his campaign for Secretary of State and look forward to campaigning with him, and Attorney General Ashcroft, in Missouri this summer.”

Huckabee is a well-known name nationally. He ran for president in 2008 and 2016 and had a talk show on Fox News from 2008 to 2015.

Ashcroft is running against State Sen. Will Kraus, R-Lee’s Summit, in the primary.
