From the Koster campaign:
-
Tuesday: Koster celebrated in Kansas City with friends and supporters after securing the Democratic nomination for governor. Koster received more votes than any other candidate in either primary.
-
Wednesday: Koster immediately hit the campaign trail with an event at The Old Courthouse in Harrisonville, where he began his career as prosecuting attorney. Koster outlined his plans to improve life in rural Missouri by funding rural hospitals, rebuilding roads, and expanding broadband access. He also discussed his experience as Attorney General, pushing back against regulations hurting farms. Chris made a second stop later in the day in Springfield.
-
Thursday: Chris started the day by meeting with the Missouri Corn Growers Association (MGCA) to present his plan to support Missouri’s top industry. Today, the MGCA announced their endorsement of Chris Koster in the general election. Later in the day, Chris held a campaign event in Rolla at A Slice of Pie where he made the case for Medicaid expansion as the fastest way to improve the Rolla healthcare system.
-
Friday: Chris met with the Missouri Farm Bureau to present his strong record of fighting for farmers across the state, and his plans to further grow the industry. In an unprecedented act, the Missouri Farm Bureau PAC endorsed Chris as the best candidate for the future of Missouri’s agricultural industry. It is the first time they have ever endorsed a Democrat for statewide office. Chris also spoke with supporters at a field office in Columbia.
-
Saturday: Koster visited campaign offices in St. Louis and St. Charles. With many union members in attendance, Koster spoke out strongly against Right-to-Work legislation and pledged to protect collective bargaining rights for workers. The events also served as canvass kick-offs. Supporters made calls and knocked doors showcasing an already robust ground game.
