Conservation Commission Action – July 2015

The Missouri Conservation Commission met July 9 and July 10 at River Centre at The Landing, 110 E. Carter St. in Van Buren. Commissioners present were:

ADMINISTRATION:
The Commission:

  • Approved authorization to advertise and sell an estimated 751,485 board feet of timber located on 532 acres of Compartment 6, Rocky Creek Conservation Area in Shannon County.
  • Approved the purchase of approximately 120 acres in Hickory County as an addition to Mule Shoe Conservation Area.
  • Approved proposed responses to certain resolutions adopted by the Conservation Federation of Missouri at its March 2015 annual meeting.
  • Approved the suspension or revocation of one or more hunting, fishing, or trapping privileges of individuals for cause:
    Michael J. Abounader, Kirkwood, Hunting, Add 1 1/2 Years;
    Tyrone R. Beal, Miller, Hunting, 1 Year;
    Dalton N. Bialczyk, Vienna, Hunting, 1 Year;
    Tyler J. Cook, Hillsboro, Hunting, 1 Year;
    Zachary R. Dewitt, Mountain Grove, Hunting, 1 Year;
    Bob A. Hamby, Rolla, Commercial Fishing, 1 Year;
    Bobby J. Maxwell, Osceola, Hunting, 1 Year;
    Michael L. Maxwell, Laquey, Hunting, 1 Year;
    Nathan A. Roy, Webb City, Hunting, 1 Year;
    Clayton E. Taylor, Springfield, Fishing, 2 Years; and

  • Approved the suspension or revocation of all hunting and fishing privileges of 266 individuals who are not in compliance with applicable child support laws.
  • Approved the suspension or revocation of one or more hunting, fishing, and trapping privileges of 213 individuals in accordance with the terms of the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact.
