Greitens kicks off ‘Leadership Library’ for state workers

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Gov. Eric Greitens is rolling out a new initiative this week: a library for state employees, with a focus on leadership.

“I am proud to kick-off a new initiative today – our new Leadership Library,” Greitens wrote in an email sent out on Monday. “We created this tool to help team members across state government grow as leaders.”

According to the website for the new initiative, which can be found at oa.mo.gov/leadership-library, the Leadership Library will serve as a “forum where members of our State of Missouri team – from all agencies and from all levels – share books, articles, videos, and other sources that inspire them to think and do differently.”

“For the first installment, I recommend a book that I have returned to many times and I asked my team to read, too: A Passion for Leadership by Robert Gates,” Greitens wrote.

The library’s aim is to “share great ideas to help us better lead ourselves, our teams, and our organizations to serve the citizens of Missouri and make our state stronger.”

The website says that the collection will grow each week, encouraging readers to visit the page regularly.
