Hanaway Encourages Senate To Override Nixon’s Veto

St. Louis- Former federal prosecutor and gubernatorial candidate Catherine Hanaway released the following statement congratulating the Missouri House of Representatives on a successful override of Governor Jay Nixon’s Paycheck Protection veto.

“Employees in this state should have a choice whether to join or support a union,” said Hanaway. “Today’s veto override is a crucial step towards ensuring that public employees will no longer be compelled against their will to pay union dues. I encourage the Senate to follow suit and enact this important measure over the Governor’s veto as soon as possible.”
