MHDC nominating committee, annual commission meeting postponed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Housing Development Commission meeting was canceled Wednesday. The rescheduled date has yet to be determined for the nominating committee. The commission meeting scheduled for October 10 has been postponed to November 6 and relocated to Columbia.

“The meeting was rescheduled at the direction of the board,” Brian Vollenweider, spokesperson for the MHDC said. When asked about why the meeting was canceled, Vollenweider could not be more specific repeating, “The meeting was rescheduled at the direction of the board.”

At the last commission meeting, Marilyn Lappin, Director of Finance presented the previous year’s financial report, the current year’s budget and operating fund budget variance report. ServiSolutions’ Master Servicer Agreement was extended a year and various updates were presented.

The MHDC met in September to approve the draft of the Qualified Action Plan, which stipulated that construction of new low-income housing would no longer be paid at the federal prevailing wage. Amendments were made to the Request for Proposal to require a summary of investigations from any state or federal agency made in the past five years.

The MHDC is expected to hold their next meeting Nov. 6 at Columbia’s Stoney Creek Inn at 3 p.m.
