(BOLIVAR) – Republican Mike Parson has declared victory in the election to become Missouri’s next Lieutenant Governor, joining a strong slate of Republicans elected to statewide office.  Lieutenant Governor-elect Parson has issued the following statement:

 

“I want to thank the people of Missouri for electing me to serve as our state’s next Lieutenant Governor, and I want to thank my wife, Teresa, and the rest of my family for all of their help through this election.  It is a true honor to be entrusted with this responsibility, and I want to thank everyone for all of their support.  With our strong Republican slate of leadership, we will be able to quickly get to work on key conservative policies, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with Governor-elect Greitens on transformative proposals that will help move our state forward and get our economy back on track.”

Mike Parson is a U.S. Army veteran and former Sheriff with two decades of experience in law enforcement.  A small business owner and third-generation farmer, Mike has a strong record of protecting family farmers, including leading the charge to pass the Right to Farm constitutional amendment.  In the state legislature, Mike has earned a reputation as a pro-life, pro-gun constitutional conservative who has stood up to federal government overreach.

 

His campaign was endorsed by many groups, including the NRA-PVF, Missouri Right to Life PAC, Fraternal Order of Police – Missouri State Lodge, Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Missouri Chamber Political Action Committee, Missouri Corn Growers Association, Missouri Dairy Association, Missouri Pork Association, and Missouri Soybean Association, among many others.
