UPDATE: Pence will not talk tax cuts in Springfield on May 9

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Vice President of the United States will be making a stop in the Show-Me State at the beginning of May to talk taxes. But wait, Monday evening, the Missouri Times was emailed by an America First Policies communications director saying:

I sincerely apologize, but we are not holding a tax event in Springfield on May 9. This is an error on our part, and we are removing that information from our RSVP link. 

Could you take your story down as soon as possible please? Very sorry for the inconvenience. 

On May 9, 2018, Vice President Mike Pence will NOT be in Springfield to talk how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that passed Congress in December will impact Missouri, Missourians, and the country.

The date is the week before the Governor’s trial is set to begin. Pence has publicly appeared with the Governor many times.

American First Policies playing host to “Tax Cuts to Put America First” which is a first-come, first-serve event. Those interested could have RSVP online, but it is recommended to arrive promptly at the doors opening for seating. As of Monday evening, the webpage and digital ads for the event were still running.
