Today, Vernon Norman, a Husband, Father, and local Real Estate Investor, officially announced the launch of his campaign for Missouri State Senate in District 14, pledging to bring common-sense, community-focused leadership to Jefferson City.

Norman is running to serve as a strong, independent voice in Jefferson City for families in North Saint Louis County and the surrounding areas. He emphasized that his campaign is focused on practical solutions rather than partisan politics.

Norman has spent his career working in finance and real estate before choosing to raise his family in the Saint Louis region. He and his wife now call University City home, where they live with their three sons and two dogs.

“I’ve built a career across multiple states in finance and real estate and now I am investing my own resources to revitalize neighborhoods and create homeownership opportunities right here in North Saint Louis County,” said Norman. “My family and I chose University City because of our community’s strong values and potential. Now, I’m running to put Missouri families first, improve education through real accountability and options, strengthen public safety, ensure fiscal fairness, support job creators, and promote workforce development. The people of District 14 deserve a servant leader who delivers results.”

Norman enters the race with a background shaped by hard work and determination and brings a commitment to strengthening support for Missouri families. Raised by career educators, he credits his upbringing with instilling a deep Christian faith,  a respect for the dignity of all work, and belief in the transformative power of education.

“Families across our district deserve a strong voice in Jefferson City, one that understands their challenges and delivers real results,” said Norman. “Too often, the government loses sight of the people it serves.  I’m running to put Missouri families first and to ensure our communities are safer, stronger, and full of opportunity.”

The campaign will formally kick off with a series of community events across the district, giving voters an opportunity to meet Norman and learn more about his vision for Missouri’s future.

The Missouri primary election is scheduled for August 4, 2026.
