PSC GRANTS SEWER CERTIFICATE

JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an agreement between the Commission Staff, TUK LLC and the Office of the Public Counsel which grants TUK LLC a certificate of convenience and necessity to provide sewer service in Jefferson County near Eureka, Missouri.

The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency which represents the general public in matters before the Commission.

The agreement approved by the Commission contains a number of conditions including: TUK LLC will either enter into a valid written contract regarding the day-to-day plant operations for the sewer system or hire one or more part-time qualified employees who are able to undertake plant operational tasks.

Sewer rates have been established in this case.  A residential customer of TUK LLC will pay a flat quarterly rate of $126.41 for sewer service.

Under the agreement, TUK LLC withdrew its application for a certificate of convenience and necessity to provide water service in the area.  The agreement states TUK LLC will not charge for water and will not connect new water customers unless it later requests and receives a water certificate of convenience and necessity from the Public Service Commission.
