RELEASE: Former St. Louis Assistant Circuit Attorney Mary Pat Carl joins Husch Blackwell

November 15, 2017 – Mary Pat Carl, former Assistant Circuit Attorney for St. Louis, will join Husch Blackwell’s Government Solutions team as a partner on November 27, 2017. Carl will be based in the firm’s St. Louis office as a member of its Government Compliance, Investigations & Litigation practice.

Carl joined the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office in 2003 and served as chief homicide prosecutor, supervising a team of nine attorneys and handling numerous complex and high-profile cases that included sex offenses, assaults, and gun and drug offenses. Carl has been lead trial counsel in more than 80 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials. She began her career as the Assistant State’s Attorney in the State’s Attorney office in St. Clair County, Ill.

A St. Louis-area native, Carl earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law (2002) and her B.A. from DePaul University (1999). She was named to the Missouri Lawyers Weekly “Up and Coming” list in 2015.
