JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The American Legislative Exchange Council, or ALEC, recently named one Missouri legislator as their Legislator of the Year for 2018. Rep. Justin Hill was recognized by the organization for his work on fixing health insurance markets, criminal justice reform and efforts to eliminate wasteful spending from the budget in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Hill learned of the honor while attending the ALEC 2018 States and Nation Policy Summit in Washington, D.C. last weekend.
“I am honored to be recognized by colleagues across the country and in the Missouri Legislature who believe in limited government, free markets and federalism,” said Hill, R-St. Charles. “I look forward to working with Missouri legislators and ALEC to make Missouri a better place for all”.
The American Legislative Exchange Council is America’s largest nonpartisan, voluntary membership organization. Comprised of nearly one-quarter of the country’s state legislators, ALEC is dedicated to the principles of limited government, free markets, and federalism.
