Reps. Plocher, Miller endorse David Wasinger for state auditor

ST. LOUIS — Missouri State Representatives Dean Plocher and Rocky Miller announced their endorsements of David Wasinger for State Auditor.

“David is devoted to serving his community and the best interests of Missouri,” said Plocher. “That is why he stepped up to run for Missouri state auditor and why I am supporting him. Because David puts others before himself, I know that he will always do what is best for the taxpayers, not what is best for his political career. David is an outsider and exactly the person we need to scour our books for waste and return transparency to Jefferson City.”

“I’m supporting David Wasinger for state auditor because transparency and accountability are two crucial pillars that help maintain trust in government,” said Miller. “The last several months have been difficult for Missouri’s state government which is why we need a state auditor who has the experience and the drive to root out waste and corruption and restore the people’s faith in state government. As a Certified Public Accountant, David Wasinger is the only candidate seeking the Republican nomination that has the qualifications to transition seamlessly into the role of state auditor.”

Dean Plocher has represented the 89th House District since 2015.  He is a lifelong resident of St. Louis County and a sixth generation Missourian.

Rocky Miller is the owner of an engineering and environmental services firm in Osage Beach. He was first elected to represent the 124 state House District in 2012.

“Representatives Dean Plocher and Rocky Miller are leaders in our party and excellent representatives for the people of Missouri,” said Wasinger. “Their dedication to battling corruption and their commitment to community services is why I am honored to receive their endorsements. I look forward to the opportunity to work with them to restore the people’s trust in Jefferson City and our State Government.”

David Wasinger was born and raised in Hannibal, Missouri. After graduating with an accounting degree, David passed the CPA exam while clerking for an accounting firm. Subsequently, he attained a law degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Law. As an independent lawyer, David’s primary area of practice is business law.

He gained national recognition after the 2008 financial crisis when he filed suit against Countrywide Home Loans. Because of David’s work, the Wall Street banks were found accountable for defrauding taxpayers of billions of dollars in defective mortgages, leading to settlements of more than $18 billion that went back into the pockets of taxpayers. David lives in St. Louis with his wife, Colleen, and their two sons.
