JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Gov. Mike Parson traveled the state this week and inspected a Missouri bridge in need of repair.
Parson, who has made infrastructure needs a priority during his tenure in office, toured the Minnow Brook Creek Bridge in Camden Wednesday, a 52-year-old structure expected to need about $476,000 in repairs.
The Republican chief executive had also planned to inspect the Moniteau County Route CC Bridge at Medlen Creek, but the visit was canceled due to the weather.

Parson made several appointments to boards and commissions this week, as well as one judicial one. He tapped M. Brandon Baker as circuit judge for the 27th Judicial Circuit and added three people to the Missouri Workforce Development Board.
The governor celebrated the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) moving one step closer to relocating two of its agencies to Kansas City by signing a downtown lease this week.
“We are thrilled that the USDA is moving its ERS and NIFA agencies to the heartland, closer to the hardworking farmers they serve,” Parson said.
On Friday afternoon, Parson was scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion on economic development and more in Kansas City. U.S. Senator Roy Blunt, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas, and Missouri Department of Economic Development Director Rob Dixon were also slated to join the panel.
Parson and first lady Teresa Parson invited families to trick or treat at the Governor’s Mansion Thursday evening.
