This Week in the Governor’s Office: Week of September 2, 2019

From a grain elevator tour in the Kansas City area to a meeting with the St. Louis Metropolitan Clergy Coalition, Gov. Mike Parson had a busy week.

Missouri’s chief executive joined U.S. Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II, Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chris Chinn, Agricultural Business Council of Greater Kansas City representatives, and USMCA Coalition-Washington representatives aboard Kansas City Southern’s Southern Belle train to tour and learned more about grain elevators located throughout Missouri’s 5th district Friday.

Before the event began, Parson held a ceremonial signing of SCR 4 naming the Kansas City Chiefs as the official football team of Missouri.

This week, Parson also meet with the Missouri Legislative Black Caucus Executive Board; toured WW Wood Products, Inc.; attended a meet and greet with Nestle Purina; saw the groundbreaking for the Truman Library; attended a Boeing expansion event; and spoke at the Governor’s Conference on Economic Development.
