The commission also signed off on an order to dismiss and reject motions in the matter of Ameren’s “Charge Ahead” program, with the Office of Public Counsel asking that the commission dismiss Ameren’s application due to their belief that the commission did not have the proper jurisdiction to authorize such a program.

The commission also stated that they were not inclined to dismiss the application due to Ameren’s “broad request for a variance from the entirety of Chapter 14 of the Commission’s regulations related to promotional preferences.”

The commission denied both motions and ruled that the involved parties should file a jointly proposed procedural schedule by May 9, 2018. The proposed tariffs have been suspended until August 21, 2018.

The final two orders of the day dealt with Missouri-American Water’s request to implement a general rate increase. The commission signed off on the stipulation and agreement, as well as the report and order, with an effective date of May 28, 2018. MAWC is authorized to file tariff sheets no later than May 4, and the PSC will file its recommendation on those tariff sheets no later than May 10.
