PSC sets dates for rulemaking hearings, discusses EV charging stations again
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Public Service Commission approved seven new orders and tariffs on Wednesday, the first of which approves an addendum to a previously approved electric territorial agreement between Ameren Missouri and Farmers’ Electric Cooperative.
The original agreement was approved in 1998, with an addendum being approved in 2013. By amending the agreement again, the existing agreement will allow Farmers’ to serve a three-phase irrigation pump Beetsma Farms proposes to construct at its Mooresville site in Livingston County.
The PSC also approved a report and order concerning a complaint against Missouri American Water Company. The complainant, Edward Lander, argued that he had been wrongfully billed, but the investigation by PSC staff determined that he had been correctly billed.
The commission also signed off on an order regarding Ameren’s “Charge Ahead” program. The approved order states that, no later than Aug. 31, the PSC staff will analyze and report the pros and cons of Ameren Missouri instituting a line extension policy designed to incentivize construction of electric vehicle charging stations.
The commission also approved orders setting rulemaking hearings in the matter of an Environmental Improvement Contingency Fund for August 7 at 2 p.m. and another regarding incentives for acquisition of nonviable utilities for the same day at 10 a.m. They also approved an order to file rescissions and amendments to natural gas safety rules with the Secretary of State for publication.
The next meeting is scheduled for June 6, 2018, at 1 p.m.
