JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri State Treasurer Eric Schmitt appeared on Fox Business Network’s Varney and Company Wednesday morning to talk about President Donald Trump’s tax reform plan, just hours before the President landed for his second visit to the Show-Me State.
Schmitt spoke about the reform bills, saying he hoped U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill would vote for the tax cut but said that Missourians are “prepared to be disappointed.”
Schmitt spoke about the tax cuts Missouri has enacted, as well as the unemployment rate in the Show-Me State. He also noted that Trump began his campaign on tax reform in Springfield, Mo., saying that Missouri has been front and center in the debate.
