JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Times is pleased to announce the addition of a new reporter, Travis Zimpfer.
Zimpfer joins the Missouri Times after writing for The Lake Today in Lake Ozark, Missouri, covering subjects ranging from sports to county and municipal politics.
“I’m excited to get back into the political world,”said Zimpfer. “In high school and the early part of college, I was extremely passionate about politics and government, but that’s been tempered over the years. I’m eager to finally get a chance to report on government, which is what I have always wanted to do in my journalism career.”
Zimpfer says that the last few months in Jefferson City shows just how important and exciting state politics can be and is excited to get started.
“We’re excited the growth of our company lets us bring on a reporter like Travis,” said Missouri Times owner and publisher Scott Faughn. “He will be a great asset to continue allowing us to continue to provide more in-depth coverage of state policy and politics.”
Zimpfer is a University of Missouri School of Journalism alumnus from the suburbs of St. Louis. He now resides in Columbia.
