TWMP: Incoming Democratic and Republican state reps stake their claim

Host Scott Faughn is joined by a panel of likely freshmen politicos to discuss their races and the statewide races. Incoming Democrats Steve Roberts and Peter Merideth from St. Louis are joined by incoming Republican Hannah Kelly of Mountain Grove and likely incoming Republican Nick Schroer from St. Charles County.

They talked about what led them to rearranging their lives to run for office and what some of their priorities will be when they get there. They also talked about criminal justice reform and especially the future of police body cameras in Missouri.

Later, the panel talked about the governors race, including the rural endorsements Chris Koster has been receiving and whether liberals can support him. They also talked about Koster’s lawsuit to allow guns on the University of Missouri campus. Finally, they talked about the state of the U.S. Senate race and attacks on Sen. Roy Blunt’s family.

TWMP will air at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Louis area on ABC 30 KDNL and in mid-Missouri on KRCG at 6:00 a.m. The show is available online after noon at twmp.tv
