New leadership at municipal league

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Municipal League elected Riverside Mayor Kathy Rose and Hazelwood Mayor Matt Robinson as president and vice president last month.

The elections were held at the league’s annual conference in St. Louis.

Rose had been elected to the league’s board of directors in 2013 and served on the Resolutions Committee. She’s also been the Riverside mayor since 2006, serving six terms. She also participates in the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, the Mid-America regional Coalition’s Solid Waste Management District and the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce.

She’ll be joined by new vice president Robinson from Hazelwood, who has served the city since 1994, 15 years as city councilman and 7 as mayor. He sits on the executive board of the St. Louis County Municipal League and on the board of North County Incorporated.

Robinson was also elected to the MML Board of Directors in 2013. He has served on the Resolutions Committee as chair.
