Ashcroft lands another big name endorsement

BRANSON, Mo. – Jay Ashcroft continues to rack up big name endorsements from around the country in his quest to become the state’s next Secretary of State.

Kansas’ Secretary of State Kris Kobach has announced he will attend Ashcroft’s reception at the Republican State Convention in Branson Friday evening.

In the announcement, Kobach “called Ashcroft the only consistent conservative in the race for Missouri Secretary of State.” Ashcroft is running against state Sen. Will Kraus, R-Lee’s Summit, who sponsored legislation on photo voter identification that will be on November’s ballot.

This development comes just a few weeks after former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee stated he will attend the First Annual Ashcroft Faith and Freedom festival to endorse Ashcroft in the race.

Ashcroft’s father, former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, will also attend both events.
