Derges owns four medical clinics in Southwest Missouri. Lift Up Springfield, her lone non-profit clinic, received nearly $300,000 in CARES Act reimbursement for COVID-19 testing. However, Lift Up did not provide any COVID-19 tests and was closed for the first three months of the pandemic.
Two veteran Congressmen have endorsed Taylor Burks as he runs for the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri's fourth congressional district (CD 4). Burks, himself a veteran, receives the endorsements in the midst of a crowded Republican primary in CD 4.
"I don't believe that we even get in the conversation without this bill being passed," Rizzo said on a phone call.
Several of the endorsements are notable, endorsing candidates in races that are expected to be competitive.
The Missouri Times compiled the endorsements that will impact Missouri's biggest Senate races.
The Missouri Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), one of the Show-Me states most powerful political entities, released a press release denouncing Greitens' ad Monday afternoon.
"I mean. people are going to be staying in hotels as far out as Columbia this is going to boost the entire western side of the state," Sen. John Rizzo said on a phone call Thursday. "This will provide a huge economic impact for Kansas City — and a big economic impact to Missouri."
"You have to not only have the ability, but be comfortable with speaking publicly on behalf of the House in a way that's clear and convictional and yet is not going to create problems for the House or the State of Missouri. And that's something I've done for well over two decades and enjoy that," Richey said.
"The issue at hand in the legislature these many years, what was the fundamental question? Is it right for eminent domain to be used for private gain? Farmers, ranchers and landowners will unequivocally say that is not right," Garret Hawkins, president of the Missouri Farm Bureau, said.
On Tuesday, The Missouri Farm Bureau (MoFB) issued their endorsement for Bruce. The endorsement is historic, being the first time the bureau has endorsed a candidate in an open-seat primary election.
