Hanaway Raises over $1.2 Million in First Eight Months of Campaign
Hanaway’s Committee Has More Than $1.1 Million Cash-On-Hand
St. Louis- Former House Speaker and U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway announced today that she has raised $1,261,213.88 since formally announcing her run for Governor eight months ago.
Since kicking off her campaign, Hanaway has campaigned in over 40 counties, recruited county coordinators in all 114 counties, and has $1,174,017.78 million in her campaign account.
“I am humbled by the growing support for my campaign,” said Hanaway. “While posting large fundraising numbers is an important aspect to any campaign, I have put equal emphasis into growing the campaign’s grassroots organization into the largest in Missouri’s history. I am committed to running a grassroots oriented campaign centered on standing up for Missouri.”
Donors to Hanaway’s campaign come from every corner of Missouri and every walk of life. Donations range from $25 to today’s $750,000 contribution from Rex Sinquefield.
“I am grateful to all those who have invested in my campaign,” said Hanaway. “Mr. Sinquefield’s support is a tremendous boost to our fundraising efforts. Missouri is being left behind and economic reform is a must if Missouri wants to win the competition for quality jobs. I am thankful that Mr. Sinquefield supports the pro-growth agenda I have been working on since I was first elected to public office in 1998. After Rex moved back to Missouri in 2005, he began advocating reforms for which I have fought for years.
