WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement congratulating Governor-Elect Eric Greitens on his victory in Missouri:
“A conservative outsider, Eric Greitens won this election because of his commitment to changing the status quo in Missouri, which resonated loudly with voters,” said RGA Chair Governor Susana Martinez. “As governor, Eric will restore trust in state government, fight for the middle class, rein in government spending and grow Missouri’s economy. The Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate Governor-Elect Eric Greitens on his victory.”
The RGA spent over $13.5 million on the effort to elect Eric Greitens as governor, including $13 million in direct donations to his campaign, a statewide TV ad campaign, and a targeted digital ad campaign. The RGA TV ad targeted Democrat Chris Koster as just another self-serving politician who puts himself first.
