“As part of a deeply flawed political strategy, Amendment 3 unnecessarily included language harmful to medical research that would have undermined the 2006 voter-approved protections in Missouri’s constitution. Missouri Cures, its thousands of members and its Coalition partners will always aggressively oppose any attempt to damage these precious rights. We appreciate that voters heard our concerns and agreed that we shouldn’t trade away access to lifesaving research and cures for any reason,” said Dena Ladd, executive director of Missouri Cures.
