The American President (1995)

Sydney Ellen Wade: [to the “President”] “This isn’t about me. How can you keep quiet? How do you have patience for people who claim they love America, but clearly can’t stand Americans?”

Jason Kander’s Online Journal (2007)

Jason Kander:  “I have little patience for those who claim to love America but clearly can’t stand the majority of Americans.”

“We already know about Jason Kander’s hypocrisy on family lobbying and his ties to D.C. lobbyists and now he’s plagiarizing fictional lobbyists from Hollywood film scripts,” said Rich Chrismer, a communications advisor to the Missouri Republican Party.  “Unless you are Jason Kander, you can’t make this stuff up.”
