When I was young, Conservatives fought to prevent the establishment of a state lottery in Missouri. Conservatives also fought against the establishment of casinos in our state.
This will be a defining moment for Bailey. If he is able to win this case and assist a new prosecutor in establishing a competent office he will have the gratitude of the St. Louis business community, legal community, and become a folk hero to the suburbs.

Believe it or not, Missouri has some very outdated statutes governing tort, which is the way we are able to file civil lawsuits.
Missouri levies a 4.225% sales tax on diapers and feminine hygiene products. This high sales tax rate, sometimes called a luxury tax rate, is far greater than the sales tax rate for groceries, which is 1.225%, or for many other healthcare products, which are tax exempt.
For the past few years in the Education debate, the argument has centered around one word: choice.
