Attorney General Eric Schmitt rolled to a smashing victory in the U.S. Senate race with 45% of the vote. Congresswoman Hartzler came in second with 22%. In a change of pace, it was the woman beating Eric Greitens, instead of the other way around, he came in a distant third with a weak 18%.
Child advocate Jill Carter has won the Republican primary to represent Missouri’s 32nd Senate District. Carter beat incumbent Sen. Bill White by nearly five points in a tightly contested election.
State Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman, R-Arnold, has won the Republican primary to represent Missouri’s 22nd Senate District.
Incumbent state Sen. Mike Bernskoetter, R-Cole County, defeated challenger Scott Riedel Friday night by about 11 points.
Rep. Nick Schroer, R-O’Fallon, has won the Republican primary in Missouri’s Second Senate District.
Incumbent Sen. Justin Brown, R-Crawford County, has won the Republican primary to continue his re-election bid in Senate District 16.
Incumbent Sen. Lincoln Hough, R-Greene County, has won the Republican primary to continue his bid for re-election in Senate District 30.
Incumbent Congresswoman Cori Bush will avoid the title of being a one-term Representative.
Trudy Busch Valentine, daughter of beer magnate August "Gussie" Busch, has secured the Democratic nomination for United State Senate.
