‘The Tim Jones Show’ to air Sundays 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. on FM NewsTalk 97.1
ST. LOUIS, MO – Former Missouri Speaker Tim Jones will be talking a lot more about local, state and national politics as the host of his very own weekly radio show. The Tim Jones Show will debut this Sunday, June 4th from 7:00-9:00 pm on FM NewsTalk 97.1 (KFTK).
Jones will draw from his political knowledge and experience gained from serving as a State Representative and Speaker of the Missouri House (2007-2015); as the first Director of Political Communications for St. Louis-based media company, First Rule; as Chairman of the Board for The Missouri Club for Growth, and as a Senior Policy Fellow for The Hammond Institute at Lindenwood University.
“I could not be more excited to combine the skills I have obtained from my many talented colleagues at FM NewsTalk 97.1 with the unique knowledge I have of national and local politics and public policy, gained by serving at one of the highest levels of government, to create a brand-new cutting edge weekly radio product. Many in the 97.1 audiences have asked me ‘when would this day come?’ so I am so pleased to tell them, the wait is over!” Tim is no stranger to professional broadcasting, regularly guest-hosting FM NewsTalk 97.1’s Allman in the Morning, The Marc Cox Show and The Randy Tobler Show, and as a frequent contributor to The Dave Glover Show, providing political insight and commentary.
“We are thrilled to be able to add former Speaker Tim Jones to our program line-up. He has been our #1 fill in guy for some time now so the audience already knows and loves him”, said FM NewsTalk 97.1 Program Director Jeff Allen.
