— The Missouri Times is excited to announce the first issue of Sine Die Magazine is now available.
The magazine seeks to be an outlet for feature on the lives of the people who keep the political process going, be it legislators, lobbyists, associations and more, according to publisher Scott Faughn.
“I love what we’re doing with the paper, of course, but I wanted to do something more,” he says about the magazine. “All I had to do was bring the idea to [the staff] and brainstorm content, and then, less than two weeks later, they finished it.”
Sine Die, in Latin, means “without day,” and is used as a term for “adjournment” when it comes to the legislature.
Faughn writes in his introductory letter in the magazine that the thought in picking the name “was that this provides a chance to accomplish our goals about capturing people’s lives, with a focus on who they are after adjournment.”
The next issue of the magazine will come out before November, but the plan is to make the magazine a monthly feature.
This first issue is available in the basement of the Capitol or in the Missouri Times office on the first floor. Additionally, copies will be available in St. Louis at the Chase Park Plaza and the Ritz Carlton.
The magazine can be viewed online at www.sinediemagazine.com.

“The Missouri Times is about news, and I like it that way,” Faughn says. “I hope that Sine Die is about fun and insight. And I really look forward to hearing what people think as we plan for future issues.”
