Speaker Tim Jones to Speak at Pregnancy Help Center of Central Missouri in Jefferson City on September 9
Speaker Tim Jones has announced that he will be speaking about significant pro-life legislation at the Pregnancy Help Center of Central Missouri, 1011 Southwest Blvd., Jefferson City on September 9. The press conference will take place at 1:00 p.m.
“This veto session, overriding the vetoes on HBs 1307 & 1313, the measure to extend the abortion waiting period to 72 hours, and HB1132, a bill to expand the tax credit for contributions to pregnancy resource centers, will be among our highest priorities. These are common sense measures meant to protect life, and we will pass these measures into law over the Governor’s veto. Missouri is a strong pro-child, pro-life state, and by overriding these bills we will show that protecting the sanctity of life is of the utmost importance to us,” said Speaker Jones.
Tim Jones was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2006 and was elected as Speaker of the House in 2012. During his time in the House, Tim has become known as a consistent conservative, passing major pieces of conservative legislation including the Missouri Health Care Freedom Act, multiple bills defending our Second Amendment rights, the largest tax cut in Missouri history, and a variety of pro-life measures which have made Missouri one of the safest places in the nation for unborn children.
Speaker Jones currently represents the 110th District, including parts of St. Louis and Franklin Counties. In addition to his legislative duties, he is an attorney at the Chesterfield law firm of Doster Ullom, LLC. He and his wife, Suzanne, live in Eureka with their two daughters, Katie and Abby.
