JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — State Representative Dean Plocher has been recognized with a 2019 Legislative Award from The Missouri Bar. The award was presented by Ray Williams, 2018-19 president of The Missouri Bar, the statewide organization of 30,000 licensed Missouri lawyers. Each year, The Missouri Bar presents Legislative Awards to elected officials who have made significant contributions to legislation that affects the administration of justice and the integrity of the judiciary. Williams commended Plocher, a lawyer-legislator, for his commitment to public service.
“From his sponsorship of Bar-endorsed legislation to his service on the Uniform Law Commission, Rep. Plocher continually seeks to improve the law. As a lawyer in public service, his thoughtful, consistent commitment to advancing the administration of justice is greatly appreciated,” said Williams.
Plocher acknowledged the important role the Missouri Bar plays in helping to advocate for balanced legislation that advances equitable justice for all Missouri’s citizens. Commenting, “I am grateful to the Missouri Bar for all efforts the organization has made to assist legislators and help with crafting responsible legislation. Plocher, represents part of St. Louis County (District 89) in the Missouri House of Representatives. The district includes the municipalities of Chesterfield, Country Life Acres, Crystal Lake Park, Des Peres, Frontenac, Huntleigh, Kirkwood, Ladue and Town & Country.
