Republican Jason Davidson withdraws from HD-48 state House race

NEW FRANKLIN, Mo. — On Tuesday, Jason Davidson announced that he will drop out of the 2020 election for State Representative in Missouri’s 48th district, citing a lack of interest and support to “change things for the better in this state”.

Following Cooper County Commissioner Don Baragary’s announcement in September that he would enter the Republican Primary, Davidson’s campaign failed to meet fundraising goals for the third quarter of 2019, leading him to believe that there was a limited path to victory in this election.

Davidson will not endorse a candidate at this time. He thanks his donors and volunteers for their help and support.

“I have decided to no longer campaign for Missouri House District 48. For those who helped support my campaign to try to change things for the better in this state, thank you.”
