Schmitt joins Missouri Rising Action as honorary chairman

Longtime Republican National Committeeman Lance Beshore also joins Missouri Rising Action’s Board of Directors

JEFFERSON CITY – Thursday, Missouri Rising Action announced that Missouri State Treasurer Eric Schmitt has joined the pro-Josh Hawley Super PAC as Honorary Chairman, and Missouri’s longtime former Republican National Committeeman Lance Beshore has joined the group’s Board of Directors.

“After nearly a dozen years in Washington DC, Claire McCaskill has grown out of touch with Missouri and her partisan liberal votes have made life tougher for the hardworking people of our state,” said Missouri State Treasurer Eric Schmitt. “With Missouri Rising Action, I look forward to helping lead the effort to replace McCaskill with the bold, fresh leadership of my friend Josh Hawley.”

“Josh Hawley represents the next generation of conservative leadership for Missouri and our nation, and I am proud to be part of this important effort,” said Lance Beshore.

Missouri Rising Action is a new, independent Super PAC dedicated to supporting Attorney General Josh Hawley’s candidacy as he challenges incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill.

Eric Schmitt was elected the 46th Treasurer of the State of Missouri in November 2016 with more votes than any other State Treasurer in state history. Schmitt previously served two terms in the Missouri State Senate, where he worked to cut taxes for working families, improve educational opportunities for Missouri children, and advocate for those with special needs.

Lance Beshore served as Missouri’s Republican National Committeeman for 16 years, from 2000-2016. He serves as Vice President of Public Affairs & Government Relations of Leggett & Platt, Incorporated, in Carthage, Missouri.
