Governor Eric Greitens Appoints New Executive Director of the Missouri Women’s Council

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.—As of October 2017, Governor Eric Greitens named Kellie Ann Coats as the new Executive Director of the Missouri Women’s Council.

Throughout her career, Kellie Ann Coats has been an influential member of multiple organizations, councils and committees. In 2006, she served as the first development officer for the Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment Disorders leading to her involvement with MU Health Care in 2009 where she worked on multiple fund raising campaigns. Kellie Ann is a current member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Network and Griffith’s Leadership Society.

Recently, First Lady Sheena Greitens announced at the Women’s Foundation’s 25th anniversary that Gov. Greitens would be appointing 25 women to state boards and commissions over 25 days. With her background and expertise, Kellie Ann is a strong addition to the Missouri Women’s Council.

It is the intent of the Missouri Women’s Council to work closely with other agencies and community-based organizations to build awareness, educate, promote opportunities for, and enhance the lives and well-being of Missouri’s women and families. The Missouri Women’s Council is an organization within the Department of Economic Development that works to promote the economic success of Missouri women by connecting them to information and resources.
