OAK BROOK, Ill. – The Missouri State Highway Patrol won the Customer Convenience Award for Troop as Motor Vehicle Team Exceeding Exceptions by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) at the 2017 Region III Information Exchange, held in Oak Brook, Illinois.
The Patrol was praised for their Troop A MVI team that facilitated a greater customer service. Particularly, they created examination projects during state holidays and allowed for off-site investigations. These measures created a couple of jobs for part-time employees to answer calls and schedule appointments. Their work was further praised for allowing businesses to save money and time.
The AAMVA holds awards each year to honor excellence in the motor vehicle and law enforcement communities. At these awards, individuals, teams, and organizations are recognized for their safety initiatives, outstanding customer service, and public affairs to include educational programs. Awards are given to departments for excellence in four categories: service, safety, security, and public affairs and consumer education.
