Press Release: Vic Rackers Announces Bid for HD 59

Vic Rackers, PE, will run in 2026 as a Republican for the 59th House District.  This district is mostly rural Cole County outside the Jefferson City limits. Vic was first candidate to declare his candidacy in July 2026. 

Vic believes in strong families and is a native of Cole County where he and his wife Eileen of 36 years raised their three adult married children.  They are blessed with 7 grandchildren and have two son(s) currently serving as pilots in the military.  Vic’s mother is from Taos and his dad is from Wardsville.  They are invested in Cole County.

Vic knows the importance of agriculture to our economy and lives on their farm east of Jefferson City where they raise cattle and grow crops in the Moreau River bottoms.  He is an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  

Vic believes in economic growth through infrastructure development and manufacturing.  He is a retired Civil Engineer from the state of Missouri where he developed infrastructure throughout the state.

Vic believes in service to the community.  He is active in church and community where he lectors and volunteers. He currently serves on the MU Extension Council, Operation Bugle Boy, the Knights of Columbus and the Republican Central Committee where he was elected in ’24. 

Vic believes in speaking out for our community.  He has been active in Republican politics for many years working on causes and for candidates.  He is proud to have voted for Ronald Reagan for his second term and is very thankful for the Trump administration’s many accomplishments. Vic is endorsed by our conservative Congressman Bob Onder.  Vic supports individual freedoms, limited government, minimum taxes and of course the first and second amendments to protect our rights. He believes the government should not compete with private enterprise or give special preferences, instead we should maintain a business-friendly environment with minimum tax and regulations.  Vic believes real and personal property taxes are too high and the legislature must limit this taxation.  

Vic is pro-life and serves and volunteers with several organizations in the community.  He believes the innocent unborn deserve the right to life and will be working to assure that, while supporting Amendment 3 on the ballot this fall.  

Vic’s values align with the majority of the 59th residents in mostly rural Cole County and he plans to work diligently for them in the Missouri Legislature.  He promises to be an accessible, active, conservative leader for the people of Cole County and help the legislature achieve successes that benefit the people of Cole County and the state of Missouri as a whole! He looks forward to visiting with everyone in towns, communities and neighborhoods in the county.
